Fred Harris posted a notice on the website with the sad news of Derek's death
Sad to report that Derek Smith aka DASmith No5 has passed away.
Derek started his BT career on Exchange Constuction in South Manchester in the 70s before moving on to Customer App and Line where he spent most of his BT life.
Derek took early retirement in the 90s and moved to Cornwall in 1997 where he has lived ever since with wife Barbara and daughter Holly.
Due to current restrictions it is unlikely that anyone based in the North of England will be able to attend Derek's funeral.
